Joyce and Gertie 

Working in unison to carefully sit down, a practice and routine my aging stepmother and her home health nurse, a.k.a. guardian angel Gertie Dailey, performed many times each day. The choreography of caring, both arms outstretched, two faces concentrating on the downward motion, reveals the lovely patience of helping and our basic human fragility.
